Furball or hairball problems are common in cats. Cats groom themselves regularly and inadvertently swallow their own shredded fur while grooming. As the fur will gradually accumulate in your cat, it forms a furball or hairball in your cats' digestive tract. Depending on the size, furballs can be expelled through the cats' faeces but sometimes your cat will try to get rid of it by coughing or vomiting it out. The regurgitation process may irritate and upset your cats' tummy.
