The same emotions that affect humans affect cats, such as fear, pleasure, hunger, anxiety, frustration, and many others. There are several kitty behaviors that are considered undesirable and that can adversely affect the owner and the pet. However, many of these behaviors can be corrected.

Cats tend to be quite mysterious creatures, so it can be difficult to understand why they behave the way they do. In addition, not every cat's behavior can be explained by a single cause, and each cat has a unique personality.

Scratching

Cats scratch to mark their territory. By providing scratching posts and other toys for your cat to dig into, you can redirect the behavior if your cat scratches objects you don't want it to. To prevent your cat from clawing items such as couches and chairs, you can purchase repellant sprays. The combination of this with dried catnip or catnip spray on items you want your cat to scratch can alleviate most issues with unwanted scratching. If your cat doesn't use the scratching post you currently have, you might try a post made from a different material, such as carpet, rope, or corrugated cardboard.

Urinary Problems

Kittens can also suffer from various urinary problems. If a cat is infected, inflammatory, has bladder stones, is stressed, or is suffering from a tumor, he may spray, urinate outside his box, or not be able to urinate. Conflicts between cats and changes in the household (e.g., construction, departures of family members, new arrivals) can also aggravate litter box issues. The use of products like Feliway and Zylkene can reduce stress in cats affected by conflict or routine changes. However, if accidents occur, we have products like UrineOff, UrineFree and Piss Off to properly clean affected areas. Training pads can also be purchased to protect against damage.

Aggression

The problem of aggressive behavior in cats, whether toward people or other pets, is a serious one. A cat's aggression may be caused by stress, anxiety, medical conditions that cause pain, hormonal changes, or other factors. If your cat is acting aggressively, you should first rule out any medical causes by visiting your veterinarian. Aggressive behavior can sometimes be triggered by specific factors. When the trigger is obvious and can be removed, this is the easiest way to resolve aggression. Both you and your cat will have to learn to live with the trigger if one cannot be identified
