Directions for Valueheart
Valuheart is given once a month, year round for the prevention of heartworm disease. The usual dose of ivermectin in dogs up to 22 lb is 60 mcg -1 tablet from blue pack, for 23-44 lb is 120 mcg - 1 tablet from green pack and for 45 to 88 lb is 240mcg - 1 tablet from brown pack. For dogs between 88 lb and 132 lb, give one and a half of the Valueheart Brown each month. For dogs between 132 lb and 176 lb, give two of the Valueheart Brown each month.

Side effects of Valueheart
Do not use in puppies under 6 weeks of age This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. Heartworm testing should be performed prior to the start of prevention therapy. If the animal is off Ivermectin for 6 months or less, start the medication and test after 6 months since microfilaria, that take 6 months to mature, may result in a positive test result.
